Before attending the event, be sure to review our rules and policies below. These rules are simple, easy to follow, and exist to ensure that everybody at Anime Getaway have a safe and happy time. Please note that violation of these policies may result in removal of your badge and ejection from Anime Getaway without refund of your badge money. Our staff is on hand and will be more than happy to handle any questions or concerns you may have. Please remember that everyone is here to have fun.
Disruptive or unsafe behavior is strictly prohibited at Anime Getaway. Do not assume that a behavior you would find acceptable is therefore acceptable to another person. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or other protected class status, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography, or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Harassment may be subtle, manipulative and is not always evident. It does not refer to occasional compliments of a socially acceptable nature.
It refers to behavior that is not welcome and is personally offensive. All forms of gender harassment are covered. Men can be harassed; men can harass men; women can harass other women. Unwanted photography after verbally requesting it to be stopped, clandestine photography or videography for the purpose of exploitation hidden cameras, upskirt video, etc. By attending Anime Getaway you agree to follow all rules set forth by the convention and failure to adhere to those rules may result in loss of badge and being escorted off the convention grounds.
This includes but is not limited to: physical, verbal, or sexual harassment; public inebriation or intoxication; nudity and inappropriate attire; running indoors; shouting; blocking doorways or heavy traffic areas; and activities that endanger people or property. Anything prohibited by law in Madison County is also prohibited at Anime Getaway.
